Peggy 2.0 is an open-source hardware+software project. Trying out a 16-grayscale display mode. It's "software PWM" to do this; computationally intensive and slow. But man, does it look good! (These are the new 10 mm diffused white LEDs-- they have remarkably good brightness matching which makes this possible.)
